Jerusalem 29/12/2022 – Within the framework of joint cooperation, Al-Ummah University College signed an agreement, memorandum of understanding and cooperation with the Palestinian General Union for People with Disabilities, as part of what the Disability Unit represented by the Director of the Unit (Ayman Ghalayini) is doing to raise the scientific, professional and technical competence of higher education students in general and students with disabilities in particular.
The signing of the agreement came in the presence of the Dean of Al-Ummah University College, Dr. Heba Barakat, the President of the Union of Persons with Disabilities in Jerusalem, Youssef Freijat, and the presence of all members of the Education for All project.
The two parties expressed their happiness towards this cooperation and synergy, which will focus primarily on encouraging students with disabilities to benefit from the outputs of the EDU4ALL project.
This MoU represents a concrete step for both parties in a series of future steps, starting with helping students with disabilities integrate with their colleagues in order to complete their studies and obtain a decent professional certificate or degree that guarantees them more independence, self-reliance and a decent and stable living.
